A TV production company has “months and months” of recent footage of the Jackson family, which may contain never-before-seen scenes of Michael Jackson.
Jodi Gomes of Point 7 Entertainment had been working on a reality TV project with the showbiz family that was due to air in 2010.
Filming for the programme ended on 5 June, three weeks before the King of Pop’s shock death.
Now it has emerged that exclusive behind-the-scenes images of Jackson may be contained in the film footage.
“We have months and months of exclusive and intimate footage as a family, as a unit, as individuals, as brothers,” the executive producer said about the reality TV show that was shot for US cable channel A&E.
Gomes said the Jacksons were preparing for a Jackson 5 reunion that may have included the Thriller star.
Bound by a confidentiality agreement that prevents her from expanding on the exact nature of the footage, she said: “A lot of it [the footage] had to do with Michael.
“We were filming long before Michael announced his O2 shows. The Jackson 5 were to have dates as well.”
A&E recently released a statement saying: “We have started discussing internally and with the family, but have not yet decided what direction to take… We are respecting the family’s wishes right now, and at the appropriate time, we will all decide what direction this programme will take.”
