Actress Kate Hudson has sparked rumours that she is engaged – after being spotted with a diamond ring, while watching her baseball star boyfriend’s latest game.

Onlookers say they spotted the “very interesting new accessory” on Hudson’s left hand as she was watching Madonna’s ex Alex Rodriguez, known as A-Rod, and his New York Yankees team play earlier this week.

One insider said: “Either A-Rod is making it official, or Ms Hudson made some very careless jewellery choices!”

Neither a spokesperson for Hudson or Rodriguez returned calls for comment.

Since first hooking up, the duo have appeared devoted to one another, prompting friends to hint that they could finally be ready to settle down.
