Kevin Federline steers kids, custody battle and likely TV dealKevin Federline is upbeat about the prospect of a new reality show about himself and his kids, Jayden James and Sean Preston. What may be sending him even higher is the newly amicable relationship he has with ex-wife Britney Spears. “It’s been really cordial, you know, thank god. We’ve had our rough patches but you know, right now we’re doing great.”

“Speculation is speculation,” he said of the show VH-1 is said to be on the verge of announcing. “It would probably be pretty interesting, you know?”

Federline, who is still hashing out big custody issues with Spears, said his kids know who is in control. “They know what they’re told … as long as I know who I am, and my kids know who daddy is and love daddy. At the end of the day, nothing else really matters.”

Federline’s lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan said of a recent court deposition on the couple’s custody issues that “progress” but “very slow progress” was made.

More litigation is set to follow, Kaplan said in a news video: “There are certain things that have to be done – by her – in order to make everyone comfortable and to identify what participation will be a stable participation.” He added: “She is not the enemy, she is not viewed as the enemy.”
