Damned United star Michael Sheen said that he is getting ready for the Robert Pattinson effect at the New Moon premiere.

Michael, 40, has a role as vampire Aro in the second movie in the four-part series based on the books by Stephanie Meyer.

He said: “I remember going to the Lord Of The Rings premiere and people going a bit mental for that, but I’ve heard Twilight is in a whole other pain zone in terms of the screams, so I’ll be looking forward to it.”

Fellow Brit actor Robert Pattinson plays the lead role in the film series as dreamy vampire Edward Cullen and he has a worldwide fan following.

Other newcomers in the new flick, due out in cinemas later this year, include War Of The Worlds star Dakota Fanning and Sweeney Todd actor Jamie Campbell Bower.
