Milkshake singer Kelis has reportedly secured a $44,000-a-month deal in support from estranged hubby Nas for their baby son Knight.

Kelis, 29, gave birth to baby son Knight on July 22 after a three-day labour.

The singer announced she was splitting from the rapper earlier this year and she was reportedly asking for $20,000 per month.

However LA Superior Court Judge Louis Meisinger has reportedly decided that $44,000 each month is a more suitable sum, based on Kelis’ income declarations.

Nas has also been ordered to pay out a further $45,000 to pay for Kelis’ attorney fees.

It is claimed Kelis’ people said Nas had not paid much money to prepare for the arrival of the baby since she filed for divorce in April.

However Nas’ attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, said the rapper had given $30,000 to the cause as well as paying for Kelis and the baby’s medical insurance.

Her rep said: “Kelis is grateful to have given birth to a healthy baby boy. Her focus is on getting acquainted with him and enjoying her role as a new mom.”
