Patrick Swayze's widow to break her silencePatrick Swayze’s widow is set to speak for the first time since the actor’s tragic death - by publicly sharing her grief at a women’s conference later this month.

Lisa Niemi, 53, will take part in a round-table discussion on Grief, Healing and Resilience at The Women’s Conference 2009 in Long Beach, California, which gathers women to be “educated, inspired and empowered to be Architects of Change in their own lives”.

Dirty Dancing star Swayze died at the age of 57 on September 14 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

And in her first interview since Swayze’s death, Niemi, who was married to the actor for 34 years, will join women’s activists including American actress Susan St. James in a discussion moderated by California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s wife, Maria Shriver.

The Women’s Conference will take place on October 27.
