Infamous rock star Pete Doherty is thought to be back in police custody, on suspicion of drink-driving and possession of drugs.

The former boyfriend of Kate Moss was pulled over by police, after he was spotted driving erratically, following a performance in Gloucester, UK.

The local police said a man, believed to be Doherty, failed to stop when asked by officers and then led them on a chase through the city.

He was pulled over and and arrested for drink-driving, possession of drugs and failing to stop.

A spokesman for Gloucestershire Police said: “At approximately 12.30am, officers on patrol in Eastgate Street saw a car being driven erratically - it continued down Barton Street and was stopped in Derby Road. A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving, possession of drugs and failure to stop for police. He remains in custody at this time.”

The Babyshambles singer, 30, was jailed last year for breaching a probation order, following a number of arrests relating to his drug use.
