British comedian Russell Brand has revealed that his relationship with pop star Katy Perry has helped to calm him down.

The UK funnyman – who has been dating the I Kissed A Girl singer since September – admitted that he is finally happy.

He said: “I’m not drinking or doing drugs anymore, so I don’t have that problem.

“My new relationship is helping me calm down. In the past, there were some times when I didn’t like myself for what I was doing.

“I feel better now with who I am.”

He added: “I’m really enjoying myself now. It’s a beautiful thing. I think maybe I’m really happy for the first time.”

Brand, 34, reportedly said recently that he thinks he is “in love” with 25-year-old Perry.
