Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi has signed up for a culinary-based U.S. sitcom.
The show, which, for the moment, is called Single Serving, will feature the Indian-born model playing a single woman in the food world.
No writers have yet been attached to the fledgling show, which will run on NBC.
Lakshmi has had acting roles before, in Glitter and the Bollywood action movie Boom.
